ADVOCACY

Respecting Your Rights

Self-Determination is more than just a California Regional Center service delivery system. It’s a way of life, but the Self-Determination Program isn’t right for everyone. You can be Self-Determined without Self-Determination! We recognize that some individuals and families are better served by traditional services and support you with the decision that is best for you and your loved ones.

However, we also expect the Regional Centers and generic agencies to serve you appropriately and respect your rights, regardless of what service delivery system you are in. Therefore, Phoenix Facilitation’s team is also available for private-pay consultation and advocacy for traditional Regional Center services, as well as assistance with generic agencies.

The Phoenix Difference

Phoenix Facilitation’s advocacy services are distinctive in that the staff and advocates on our team are qualified and willing to provide non-legal representation to participants and families in the Regional Center Fair Hearing/appeals process. Our extensive knowledge of the Lanterman Act sets us apart in our ability to provide educated opinions about services, rights, and next steps.

Please note: Fair Hearing representation is not guaranteed and is based on if, in the professional opinion of Phoenix Facilitation of California LLC and its representatives, the case has legal merit and is likely to be successful. Phoenix Facilitation of California LLC makes no representations or warranties about specific services, Fair Hearing outcomes, or any other part of the process. Phoenix Facilitation of California LLC cannot ensure how the Regional Center, generic agencies, and/or the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH), among others, will respond to applications or requests for services.
